Meidat was a Efrosian male serving in Starfleet in the late 24th century. By 2384, he had reached the rank of Ensign and been assigned to the USS Enterprise-E as a structural engineer.
In July of that year, he was part of an away team sent to the Machine aboard the runabout USS Cumberland, along with fellow engineers Lieutenants Mitchell Obrecht and Pinkman and Ensign Jutron, security officers Lieutenants Randolph Giudice and Peter Davila and pilot Ensign Ally Scagliotti, to sabotage it with a large-scale three-part chemical explosive, where he was responsible for the final assembly of the device. As soon as assembly was complete and the first two reactants started mixing, however, defenses inside the Machine activated and Meidat was killed by being consumed by a nanocybernetic cloud.
